Location : Trasi Beach,  Udupi

The site is located on Trasi beach in the Kudapur taluk Udupi district. The beach is known for the migration of turtles for laying eggs. The main features of the site include a small stream cutting across the site and entering the sea and a road called Ram mandir road dividing the site into two parts. The site has contours on the east and is comparatively flat elsewhere.

Ananyaniketanam - the Sathya Sai campus was designed as a residential school. The central mandir was located in the center of the site, flanked by two blocks for the classrooms and the student residences. The admin is located close to the classrooms towards the approach road. The stadium along with the mandir is located on the north end of the site. The staff quarters and the dining hall are located on the contours towards the east.

The quarters for Swami and the stadium have been placed across the road towards the beach. The overall orientation of the plan is towards the West, Inspired/ representing the turtle returning back to the sea (Evident In the Roof Plan)

The Mandir denotes the heart of the turtle towards which the entire campus focuses. The scales have been transformed into the circulation pathways with the scutes being the blocks.
